Burji

This painting ” Ailia Dae and his wife” is one of Kateete’s best works.
It is a masterpiece that shows the Burji Kenya/Ethiopia heritage.

Ailia worked in Sir Haile Selassie’s government. He was the Secretary in charge of Burji affairs. Ethiopia is represented by an Obelisk seen in the distant background. He was 108 years old at the time of this painting.
