The Kateete Pan- African Foundation was established in 2022 as a not-for-profit trust that is managed by a board of Trustees supported by Advisory trustees who have the expertise and a passion for preserving and developing art in Pan- Africa.
The foundation welcomes artists who can share the vision of the foundation and who are seeking an outlet for their artist work and who want to contribute to the development of art in Pan-Africa.
Any artist who joins the foundation will assign the ownership of their paintings and copyright for the prints from the original paintings to the foundation. This provides the opportunity for any artwork assigned to the foundation to be available for as long as the copyright laws allow (currently 50 years) to the market. The foundation will be responsible for ensuring that beneficiaries of an artist will still benefit from the artist’s work now and into the future.
